Each contestant has been carefully chosen by the PLL Trendsetters and the PLL story architects. Join us each week to learn why each YA boy made the cut, and let us know in the comments if you agree or disagree.

Alex: Alex is the one to sweep you off your feet. In a world that doesn’t believe in love, he sure is one passionate boy. He sets up picnics in gardens under the stars, reads books and listens to music; he does all the forbidden things for love. He will run away with you and protect you the best he can. Julian: He is so naive and clueless about love and when he says ‘I want to know you’ to Lena it is so cute! (PLL Trendsetter Erin)

Ky: In a strictly regulated world where the one you marry is decided for you, Ky is a gentle heart who will teach you to write your name in the dirt and recite poetry to you.

Peeta: I have to admit, I’m not one to go for bad boys. That’s why, to me, Peeta is the ultimate fantasy of a guy. He’s perfectly sweet and sensitive – he bakes cookies with flowers on them for crying out loud – but also incredibly intelligent and charming. (PLL Trendsetter Abbie)

Elder: If you want love in the stars, board the Godspeed ship with Elder and he’ll make you his universe.

Gale: The boy next door in a dystopian world. Can’t live with him, can’t hunt without him.

Gabriel: If you’re unhappy in your arranged marriage, win over Gabriel’s kind heart and he’ll be your quiet hero.

Jonas: Jonas is far from a hipster, but he IS one of the classic dystopian heroes.

Tobias: Tobias Eaton is brave. Tobias is almost fearless, and I feel like love has to be brave to work, to have any chance at all. He fights with Tris through her fears and struggles and works his hardest to make her brave too. (PLL Trendsetter Corinne)

Adam: Adam is amazing. Just. I’m speechless; I love him so much. Maybe it’s the impossibly blue eyes. Maybe it’s the fact that he’s six feet of power and muscle. Maybe it’s that he’s so ridiculously good and strong and so willing to fight for what he wants. Whatever it is, I love it.

Warner: Warner is DEFINITELY not the boy you bring home to meet your mother yet we love him so much and constantly question whether we’re somewhat twisted in the head for doing so.

Thomas:  Thomas swears is a genius named after Thomas Edison. Sure, he shares a telepathic link with another girl, but you don’t want someone knowing all your swoony thoughts anyway, do you?

Liam:  Liam is, by far, one of the sweetest male protagonists/love interests I’ve ever read about. With his penchant for oldies and nicknames (he calls Ruby, the protagonist, Ruby Tuesday and himself the Ramblin’ Man after the Allman Brothers’ song) and indefatigable sense of humor, Liam is definitely a catch. More than that he’s willing to take risks to be with the girl he loves, even if it means he could get hurt. And he’s so honest… I’ll take one to go, please. (PLL Trendsetters)

Perry: Attractive AND wields a bow and arrow? Yes please!

Roar: If you have an overprotective big brother, you can still count on Roar to chase the one he loves.
