Lida James’ Lucky Seven!
Want to learn more about Lida James, author of Beautiful Girl? You’re in luck! Here are some questions we asked her so you can get all the info:
What actor/actress would you want to play you in the biopic of your life?
When you were six years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A neurosurgeon. (Strange but true. And I wanted to own a Calder)
Hoorah! You’ve just been hired by a circus! What will you be doing?
Trapeze (If it weren’t horribly cruel to the elephant, I would be that lady who rides atop the elephant’s back, but alas, it is horribly cruel so I’ll fly through the air instead)
Who is your secret cartoon crush?
If you were a kitchen appliance – what would you be?
If you could go on a road trip with any person (dead or alive), who would you choose and where would you go?
Sarah Burke, Andes Mountains, Chile.
Lida James grew up in Brooklyn, New York and graduated cum laude from Vassar College with a BFA in English (and a lot of film credits, too). After working as a cameraperson on feature films inNYC she relocated to Los Angeles in search of mountains and waves. Once there, she wrote and sold screenplays (and snowboarded and windsurfed). She continues to enjoy living in Los Angeles with her husband and their two children – all shredders like herself – and two rescue dogs. Beautiful Girl is her first novel.
Beautiful Girl will be published October 28th, 2014, but is available for pre-order NOW!
