Intern for Paper Lantern Lit!

Paper Lantern Lit is looking for an intern! Comb through writing samples and hone your editorial skills. Write for our blog. Receive amazing PLL books and chocolate in the mail. We know; it’s almost too good to be true. So what do we want from our intern in return?

  1. Read 25-50 ten-page submissions on a weekly basis and flag the most intriguing samples
  2. Occasionally contribute to our blog, with posts that range from pop culture to publishing to literary/art culture.

If you’re a junior or senior in college looking for experience in the publishing industry, consider this your perfect opportunity. Still interested? Send an email to news@paperlanternlit.com with the following info:

  • A list of your three favorite books and why
  • A sample blog post that you think would be appropriate to this blog (no longer than 300 words)
  • A resume

Please note, you do NOT need to live in NY to apply, as the position is work-from-home.

Deadline is Monday, October 31.

Thanks and good luck!

  1. Sounds like a great opportunity. I’m one of those that daydreams about working in every conceivable profession. I’m sure the slush wears you down but I think it would be great to peek on the editing profession for a bit. Good luck to those who applied!

  2. Aww I can’t believe I only just found out about Paper Lantern Lit! As an aspiring author (and someone who’s taking a Diploma in Creative Writing (for TV and New Media), I’m really interested in this! And I’m bummed I only saw this now. 😦

Oh well… maybe I could work with Paper Lit Lantern for my book! 😀
