eBook Soundtracks?

Has anyone else heard about this?

A snippet on eBookNewser recently asked the question “Should eBooks Have Soundtracks?” I think it’s an interesting question but it raises a lot of other questions. Similar to the Vook (which I personally have a lot of issues with), when you add additional media to text, is it still a book? How would that translate to an audiobook? Would it make the reading of the original text less effective? Is it all just marketing?

I’m honestly both immensely intrigued and immensely repelled by this idea at the same time. What do you think? Would eBook soundtracks enhance or detract from the reading experience?
